Andrzej Polan · My Flavors Polana
Andrzej Polan — chef, restaurateur and author, who for years has been talking about Polish cuisine for the season, product and emotions.
Andrzej Polan
Andrzej Polan has been building his kitchen for years around simple, good ingredients, seasonality and tastes that have clear roots. Tradition is not a museum exhibit here — it is the starting point for contemporary, personal and full of character.
In his approach, the calendar of nature is important: what matures right now takes precedence over the random effect. This allows the kitchen to change with the seasons, maintaining its own language and recognizable style.
In My Flavor Pole in Krakow, this philosophy meets hospitality. The restaurant at 15 Bożego Cłała Street is the place where Polish product, season and the original look of Andrzej Polan hits one table.

From product to plate
For Andrzej Polan, the taste and quality of the product is important. In the official biography, he emphasizes attachment to nature, local ingredients and combining traditional Polish tastes with a modern approach.
This approach also describes Polana well: the card does not need to be unchanged throughout the year. It is more important to use products when they are the best, and to build dishes that make sense without unnecessary complexity.

Cooking by Andrzej Polan has long been outside the restaurant kitchen. His recipes and approach to Polish tastes also went to television, cooking programs and books.
For more than 20 years, he has been associated with culinary materials on Good Day TVN. He also ran programs for Kitchen+, sharing knowledge and cooking ideas.
In the centre of his kitchen are native products, season and tradition interpreted in their own way. This approach appears both in the restaurant and in its media projects.
He is the author and co-author of culinary publications, including “Kuchnia Polana w Obietywa Welmana”, “Polana Smaków”, “Adviser of Taste 3” and “Polana”.
Kitchen of Andrzej Polan
The archival photographs of Polana remind us that the character of this kitchen from the beginning built the product, color and method of administration.

History
Andrzej Polan grew up in Wolbromie in Małopolska. As he told in materials devoted to his professional way, before the kitchen became a profession, cooking was part of everyday life and domestic experience. Professional food adventure later developed in Zakopane and Warsaw.
For years he gained experience as a chef, created his own restaurants, ran programs and culinary shows. The common denominator remained a kitchen based on product and taste memory — but without closing it in a rigid framework.
Today, My Polana Tastes in Krakow continues this story in a new place. It is a restaurant where the name of Andrzej Polan is not just a signature above the door: it is to be seen in the way of thinking about the card, season and guest.
